Policy Research and Analysis

Effective policy change efforts are grounded in data and research . Data is needed to identify and demonstrate problems or issues in the first place. Once you have identified an issue or need, you will need to secure and communicate data to support your analysis. Research and analysis are also needed to identify policy options or approaches. In many cases, you will need to assess existing policy proposals, identify the range of policy options, and select the policy approach that is most likely to succeed in your environment. These capacities are prerequisites when crafting a policy proposal, conducting a campaign, and achieving the desired policy change.
