BOSTON — Statement of Diane Felicio, interim executive director of Community Catalyst, regarding allegations of sexual assault and misconduct against U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

“U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s known views on health care, consumer protections, reproductive and civil rights, and presidential power as well as his stunning lack of candor are already enough to give Senators ample reasons to oppose his nomination. But credible and deeply troubling allegations of sexual assault and misconduct from Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and a number of other brave women only heighten our concerns. It is unconscionable that there has been no investigation of these alarming allegations. In the absence of a fair and thorough investigation, the Kavanaugh nomination should be withdrawn.”
