Ann Danforth

Senior State Advocacy Manager, Women’s Health Program

Ann Danforth, LMSW, is Senior State Advocacy Manager for the Women’s Health Program.  She works with Raising Women’s Voices regional coordinators in the more progressive states to defend against threats to the Affordable Care Act and women’s health, and promote the adoption of model “women and reproductive health friendly” policies. Ann provides technical assistance to coordinators in the form of communications and messaging support, campaign strategy and policy analysis.

Previously, Ann was Advocacy and Policy Coordinator for the ACLU’s Reproductive Freedom Initiative, where she tracked legislation and ballot initiatives relating to reproductive health, and supported the advocacy work of ACLU state affiliates. A May 2016 graduate of the Columbia University Masters in Social Work Program, Ann was an Advocacy and Social Work Fellow for the National Organization for Women (NOW) NYC chapter, where she worked on city and state policy issues affecting women and girls, and managed NOW-NYC’s Activist Alliance.

Community Catalyst works to ensure consumer interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and the health system are made: in communities, courtrooms, statehouses and on Capitol Hill.
