The Senior Policy Analyst provides leadership, strategic advice, policy analysis, contributes to the creation of policy resources to translate information to health advocates, providers and policymakers. The Senior Policy Analyst supports issues related to health coverage, oral health coverage and health system transformation, with a particular focus on eliminating disparities faced by low-income populations and communities of color through power building, advocacy, teaching and learning. 

The Senior Policy Analyst leads policy efforts and supports partners working on a broad range of health access and coverage issues toward building a consumer-centered health care system that delivers better care, better value and better health for every person in every community. We combine practicable, credible, implementable, short and long-term solutions to address causes of rising health care costs. Our proposals do not shift additional costs onto consumers, but instead provide solutions for better care at lower costs.

The Senior Policy Analyst works as part of a team to offer technical assistance to state consumer health advocates and grassroots partners. Our technical assistance includes support across a range of capacities including coalition building, communications support, grassroots engagement, policy analysis, organizational sustainability, and campaign strategy and implementation. The Senior Policy Analyst will also lead initiatives to support national and state partners and advocacy coalitions as well as donors in pursuing their policy advocacy goals.

This position is included in a collective bargaining unit represented by a staff union, Community Catalyst United, and specific employment terms may be subject to a future Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The Senior Policy Analyst is supervised by the Director of Policy with project work supervised by associate director.  This person may be responsible for supervising staff working in their area of expertise.
