Community Catalyst, a national advocacy organization, has been giving consumers a voice in health care reform for more than a decade. We provide leadership and support to state and local consumer organizations, policymakers and foundations that are working to guarantee access to high-quality, affordable health care for everyone. Our contributions, which range from policy analysis and strategic assistance to managing national campaigns, enable consumer groups to provide leadership in the hard work of transforming the U.S. health care system. Since 1997, in states and communities across the country, we have been a catalyst for collaboration, innovation, and action in health care reform. 


Community Catalyst is seeking a knowledgeable and exceptionally creative leader to serve as the Director of its Center for Consumer Engagement in Health Innovation (the “Center”). The Center, which launched in 2016, is a national leader in championing a consumer and community-driven health system that is just and equitable. We bring the consumer experience to the forefront of health innovation in order to deliver better care, better value and better health for every community, particularly vulnerable and historically underserved populations. The Center invests in state and local advocacy, leadership development, research and evaluation, and consultative services to delivery systems and health plans.

 We seek a Director to lead the development and implementation of a strategic vision for the Center’s next phase of work. The ideal candidate will be mission-driven, entrepreneurial, committed to racial justice and able to serve as a national thought leader on health care delivery and payment reform. The Director will lead a stellar team of dedicated staff with deep knowledge of the current issues in health system transformation particularly for older adults, people with disabilities, low-income populations and communities of color. S/he must excel in a highly collaborative environment, and possess strong strategic skills that identify priorities and integrate resources toward achieving these objectives. In addition, the Director should be experienced in successful fundraising in order to help sustain the Center’s work for the long-term.


The Center Director will report to the Executive Director of Community Catalyst.
