Deputy Director of Development

Join an organization at the forefront of health justice.

Community Catalyst is a leading national health advocacy organization dedicated to building the power of people to create a health system rooted in race equity and health justice and a society where health is a right for all. We partner with local, state and national advocates to leverage and build power so all people can influence decisions that affect their health. Health systems will not be accountable to people without a fully engaged and organized community voice. That’s why we work every day to ensure people’s interests are represented wherever important decisions about health and health care are made: in communities, state houses and on Capitol Hill. This is an exciting time for Community Catalyst with a new strategic plan and a new multi-year plan to build the organization’s donor community in support of health justice goals. The Deputy Director will develop and manage a new strategy to broaden Community Catalyst’s donor base across annual giving, mid-level giving and major gifts—fundraising for both Community Catalyst and the related Community Catalyst Action Fund. In collaboration with the Director of Development, Director of Communications and Executive Director, the Deputy Director will use the launch of Community Catalyst’s new website and strategic plan as a platform for reaching new individual donor audiences. The Deputy Director will also manage the process to improve, maintain and fully utilize a Salesforce donor database and oversee the scale-up of new prospect research strategies.
