POSITION SUMMARY

This is an exciting time for Community Catalyst with a new strategic plan and a new multi-year plan to build the organization’s donor community in support of health justice goals. As part of a growing development team, the Deputy Director will lead and grow a new individual giving program and oversee development operations to ensure high quality database management, prospect research and donor stewardship. The Deputy Director will develop and manage a new strategy to broaden Community Catalyst’s donor base across annual giving, mid-level giving and major gifts—fundraising for both Community Catalyst and the related Community Catalyst Action Fund. In collaboration with the Director of Development, Director of Communications and Executive Director, the Deputy Director will use the launch of Community Catalyst’s new website and strategic plan as a platform for reaching new individual donor audiences. The Deputy Director will also manage the process to improve, maintain and fully utilize a Salesforce donor database and oversee the scale-up of new prospect research strategies. The Deputy Director will supervise the Senior Individual Giving Officer and the Manager of Development Operations and Research, as well as oversee the supervision of the Development Coordinator (reporting to the Senior Individual Giving Officer.)

The Deputy Director of Development reports to the Director of Development.
