State Consumer Health Advocacy Program
Consumer Voices for Coverage 3
Health Action New Mexico is the state's recognized consumer advocacy organization at the forefront of health care reform in New Mexico and the lead agency of a state-wide collaborative, The Health Care for All Campaign, working to achieve equitable, quality and affordable health care for all people living in New Mexico. As part of the Consumer Voices for Coverage 3 program, Health Action New Mexico is working in partnership with advocates and legal experts to reform the state's health premium rate review process; shift the state's current regulatory culture to support transparent enforcement of consumer protections and insurance reforms; and to create a health insurance Exchange that will include strong conflict-of-interest protections, transparency, accountability, access for vulnerable and diverse people in the state, a community based navigator system, and offer high quality, affordable insurance plans.
Prescription Access Litigation Project
Prescription Access Litigation (PAL) member organizations participate in PAL’s work by joining class action lawsuits as plaintiffs, educating their members about the pharmaceutical industry’s tactics, publicizing PAL projects and successes, and signing on to “friend of the Court” briefs and regulatory testimony/comments submitted by PAL.

Prescription Project
The Prescription Project assists state initiatives and builds coalitions that engage consumer groups, physician and medical organizations, insurers and other stakeholders to promote evidence-based medicine and manage pharmaceutical industry marketing through state public policy change. The Project has spearheaded coalitions in Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Washington and is planning initiatives in Maryland, New Mexico and Wisconsin. We are actively supporting prescription drug reform efforts in the District of Columbia, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont.
