PRO-ACT works to reduce the stigma of addiction, ensure the availability of adequate treatment and recovery support services and to influence public opinion and policy regarding the value of recovery.

Our Impact

With messaging and policy support from Community Catalyst, Florida advocates built support for closing the coverage gap through a week-long social media campaign featuring compelling stories of people with alcohol and drug problems.

UNITE to Face Addiction Rally, Washington, DC. Thousands of advocates from across the country gathered on the National Mall to remind the world that people do recover and those impacted by addiction need support, not punishment, to pursue healthier paths. We were honored to be a part of this impressive event alongside our state and national partners, which contributed to the passage of the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act and demonstrated the power of advocates to spur change.
