Nancy A. Whitelaw, Ph.D

Dr. Nancy Whitelaw is widely recognized for improving the health and wellbeing of older adults by fostering broad-based collaborations that engage practitioners, academics and policy makers across health care, public health and community services. She was Senior Vice President for Health and founding Director of the Center for Healthy Aging at the National Council on Aging (NCOA) in Washington, DC.
She has also served as Co-Director of the Hartford Change AGEnts Initiative and Co-Director of the Practice Change Fellows/Leaders Program for Aging and Health, where she continues as Program Consultant and Senior Leader.
Prior to joining NCOA, Dr. Whitelaw was Associate Director of the Center for Health System Studies at the Henry Ford Health System (HFHS), overseeing research and training projects on care coordination and geriatric team care. She also served as a member of the HFHS leadership team responsible for strategic planning and service line development in senior care and geriatrics.
