COO, the Forsyth Institute
Diane M. MacDonald is the chief operating officer for the Forsyth Institute, a Harvard-affiliated research institute and oral public health program. Prior to joining Forsyth, she was the chief financial officer for the Broad Institute, a research collaboration of Harvard and MIT. She previously was the director of finance and operations for Community Catalyst, and she served as budget director for the City of Boston. She is known for implementing successful management improvement efforts in both the public and non-profit sectors, developing performance-based budgeting and management systems for state and local government, and providing innovative financial analyses of public services. She is treasurer of Community Catalyst.
